Fingerprints = Fun Date
I have been working on filing paperwork to finally be a citizenship of the U. S. of A. I am so excited! Well one of the appointments I got was to go get some fingerprints done at the Raleigh, NC office. This is about an hour and 30 minute drive from Greensboro so Zak and I decided that we would take the day off from work because we did not know how long this would take. From my experience anything that has to do with immigration takes forever. So imagine my surprise when we were out of that office at 8:15 am... mind you my appointment was at 8:00 am. It was awesome!
No kids, no work and being away from home called for a day of fun. Whoo-hoo!
First call of business Cracker Barrel.
Gotta love their gift shop
Checkers... let the battle begin!
We watched a movie. It was not Madagascar 3, but I just had to post this picture of my silly husband.
I love him!
We finished our getaway with a trip to the DimSum House and marked that off of the must try list.
It was delicious.

MVP - Soccer
It is soccer season again in the Nelson household. We are so excited to see Izaak playing with a much greater understanding of the game. He had his first game today and he "ROCKED"! He was so great at kicking the ball away from the opposing team and he kept his eyes on the ball. Izaak was so excited during the game because other parents cheered for him, too. There was an instance that he turned around and looked at me and he gave me a 2 thumbs up... that was my favorite! Because there were not enough players to have switches Izaak played the whole game. What a trooper.

Date night
We had a great date night.
We were a little adventurous and tried some yummy food at a new restaurant on Battleground called "Cleopatra".

The mister ordered some yummy duck.
I had some delicious eggplant dish (cannot remember the name).

Guess who...
We are so happy that Johanna and Danny have relocated to Greensboro, NC!!
We were anxiously waiting for them.
The boys are loving the tia Johanna and tio Danny attention.

Izaak was so happy to have them over for his school picnic.
What a lucky, lucky boy!

Peruvian team spirit
My dad and brother brought back some awesome training jackets and pants from Peru for the boyz last year. They seemed a little big for the boyz to wear at that time so I stored them away. I happened to come across these gems again and decided why not? Izaak and Izaiah were so excited... more than I expected. They thought it was so cool looking and Izaak mentioned that he looked like a soccer player. How fun!

They are so handsome and getting big way too fast!
PS - I should add that Izaak wore the jacket 4 days in a row during the week. I had to hide this piece of clothing and explain that we do not wear dirty clothes to school. :-p

Community Helpers
My brother, Jonathan, has become very popular at the daycare Izaak and Izaiah attend. Not only is he popular with the children, who happen to love it when the big fire truck stops by, but he is also very loved by the teachers (teachers think Jonathan is a cutie), so they got some eye candy for the day. Izaak was super excited to see tio Jonathan and all the pain he felt from giving himself a shot of Epi-Pen flew right out of his mind (more on than later). I was so glad to make it to take some pictures of the firefighter crew that stopped by and I got to see the excitement on all the children's faces. It was awesome! I also got to take Izaiah out of class and he was the only one year old in the crowd.

Things I Will Always Cherish
When I receive little notes like the one below it reminds that (1) I am one lucky woman and (2) that I have the most amazing man by my side and I get to call him Husband!

I was just looking at your picture and wanted to tell you how much I love you. You are such a gorgeous woman - but the thing I love best is that every time I look at you I am reminded that, unlike the fast majority of people out there, all of your beauty outside is mirrored inside. You are a wonderful, beautiful, very capable woman of integrity and brightness. You make everyone around you smile, especially me - and you are an amazing mother to our children.
I love you...tonz & forever!!!

We love Saturdays
We call it our family day. Every day of the week has a theme in Izaak's class at daycare. For example Wednesdays = book day, Thursdays = movie day/ice cream truck day and Fridays = Show & Tell day. So every morning Izaak usually wakes up asking what day is it? It makes him very excited when he knows what to expect for the day. So when Saturdays come and he asks this question we respond family day (Sundays are Church day). Today we visited a park and it was so much fun. We picked up some dinner and ate at a picnic table and played in the grass after our bellies were full. It was nothing glamorous but definitely something our boys were pretty excited about!

These are some funny pictures of Izaiah eating blueberries. He was loving them so much that he was trying to fit fist full of them in his mouth!

Zak couldn't stop laughing even though we were trying to be serious when telling Izaiah to eat slowly. Boys will be boys!
